Explore Raahe

Raahe is a treasure city of steel at the seaside: resilient, active and full of stories. Our residents are tireless workers, compassionate caregivers, fair traders and more – our genuine treasures.

It is easy to fall in love with Raahe

We work to ensure that Raahe stays a safe and comfortable place to be and live. Our vision in line with our urban strategy is to be the best for our residents, beautiful for visitors and good for all. The diverse nature and environment with a rich history provide excellent conditions for this. Children and young people can grow up at their own pace, learn in healthy schools and engage in diverse hobbies in their own city.

We do not have traffic jams or parking fees. The services in the city centre are located within a short walking distance from each other, so running errands is easy and smooth. We can promise that you will have more time for living! Our city has a lot of activities for those always on the move, culture lovers, daydreamers as well as handicraft enthusiasts.

You can also explore Raahe with a digital audio guide. The Glopas application is available free of charge for Android and iOS devices from application stores. You can choose Finnish or English as the guide’s language and it will launch automatically when approaching a location if the device’s location information is enabled.
