In a training trial, you can explore career and education options. The purpose of the trial is to assess whether the field and education are suitable for you. The training trial is organized at an educational institution and is planned individually according to your needs.
The training trial is agreed upon in the employment plan or another equivalent plan.
A work try-out may be suitable for you if you are considering your own field or want to find out whether a field is suitable for you. A work try-out is also an option if you have been outside of employment for a long period. During the work try-out, you will participate in general work at the workplace. A work try-out is not an employment relationship, and it does not create expenses for the employer.

Financial support may be granted to employers if the person employed is unemployed or the person’s disability or illness requires other support.
Employment services for employers include the publication of jobs, the provision of information on vacancies, the application and presentation of jobseeker candidates, and the organisation of recruitment events.
Jointly acquired training is labour market training that the employment authority can organise together with the employer, the commissioner of the person intending to become an entrepreneur or the company transferring its business rights so that they participate in the funding of the training.
The employment authority gives employees and employers advice and support when an employment relationship is changed or terminated.
The employment authority helps laid-off and dismissed employees find new work or training in cooperation with employer representatives and staff or their representatives.
In vocational guidance and career planning, you discuss the choice of profession, professional development, placement in the world of work and lifelong learning confidentially with a counsellor.
A licensed psychologist may also, with your consent, use psychological assessment methods to examine professional and career options, competence, suitability and work and functional capacity.
In vocational and career guidance, you will have confidential discussions with a counselor about career choice, professional development, entering the workforce, and lifelong learning.
Employment authority may grant you discretionary expense allowance when you participate in a service that supports your employment as agreed in your employment plan or a plan replacing it. You can receive compensation from the employment authority if you incur inevitable costs for participating in a service and you do not receive unemployment security from Kela or an unemployment fund.

The cooperation model of multidisciplinary support that promotes employment helps you find employment if you need comprehensive support. The aim of the service is to remove obstacles to employment related to, for example, your life situation, state of health, work and functional capacity, and talents and vocational skills.
